Becoming a mum

People talk about having an overwhelming feeling of love the instant their child is born. I can’t say that I felt that. To be honest, my greatest feeling was relief from the end of labor and also relief that this baby that had been growing inside me was finally here safely. People also assume that you become a mum the instant your child is born. But what if it happens before you see your child or even further along once your baby is here?
